Flux
2020

For her Bachelor of Fine Art (honours) project, Flux, Hagberg employed the ceramic firing process as a tool for abstraction and material consideration; using this process as a way to interfere with and complicate her own aesthetic intentions and better reveal the varied and inconstant nature of the utilised materials. The works are built from clay combined with discarded steel, broken glass, and dried out glazes, as well as other materials, which would otherwise be disposed of.

Flux, has been exhibited as a whole at Neon Parc (city) in December 2020 and individual works have been showcased at Quarantine Art Fair (2021) and Alternating Art Space (2021). Flux 6 was also a finalist in the 2021 Wyndham Art Prize.
